Envy

This is yet another piece drawn in color pencil on two sides of UC-4 drafting media. It kind of suggests a Poison Ivy type character, but really its based on a photo of Diana Dors (no, not Marilyn Monroe) who appeared on an episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" entitled "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (no, not the Mickey Mouse cartoon).

While I was really pleased with how the original turned out (particularly the texture of the background), it was a huge pain to scan. I never could get the scan to look like the original. This image is actually a combination of several scans and manipulations in Photoshop--and it's still only an approximation of the beauty of the original piece.
